Fun with Champagne!
Join us for a decadent evening of Champagne, Champagne and more Champagne.
Britain's favourite fizz is synonymous with celebration, but here at the Wine School any excuse is good enough to crack open the bubbly.
We will discover there is much more to Champagne than Formula 1 winners and birthday parties. Champagne is as diverse in style and character as the wine from any of France's famous regions.
We will delve into the range of Champagnes including Rosé, Premier Cru, Blanc de Blancs and Vintage. What do these terms mean and how to the affect the taste of the wine?
We will be lavishing particular attention on Champagne made by small, grower-producers crafting tiny amounts of truly expressive wines using grapes farmed from vineyards which have been in their family for generations. These are Champagne's best kept secret (and often cheaper than the big name brands).
We'll also be comparing NV (non-vintage) and Vintage bottles from bigger, more famous Grand Marque producers. Will you think the Vintage is worth the price tag? This is your chance to find out!
Book now to learn about techniques and terrior, the things that make Champagne such a joy. And learn how to choose your own preferred style of fizz! This promises to be a memorable evening with memorable wines.
